Candy Factory COVID-19 Response

Candy Factory Coworking Community –

As you are likely aware, the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as many government and health officials across the globe are currently responding to an outbreak of coronavirus, or COVID-19. This outbreak was named a pandemic just last week, and as an issue of public health concern, has weighed heavily on our minds as we continue to work on solutions in response to this.

We understand the increasing worry and concern that people are experiencing in regards to their health and safety while at work, and the additional responsibility this places on our team here at Candy Factory Coworking. We share your concern in this unpredictable and unprecedented time.

We would like you to know that we have increased our normal cleaning service and we are working with our cleaning team to ensure that they are following all best practices currently recommended by the CDC. We are focused on cleaning and disinfecting frequently used areas including door handles and elevator buttons. We have disinfectant wipes available for members upon request, and will be offering hand sanitizer (as supplies come available).

For members – we have posted reminders throughout the community and ask that everyone remember to wash their hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol‐based sanitizer. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Please avoid shaking hands.

We also kindly ask that members who have experienced any symptoms to please refrain from using the space. If you are on a monthly membership and either experience symptoms, or believe you may have come into contact with someone that has been exposed to the virus, please reach out to us by email and let us know so that we can work with you on a rollover plan for your membership.

We are currently allowing refunds for all training room cancellations, and advise against large group meetings.

Please note that our business hours are the same and have not changed, and we are still accepting new memberships.

As a brand new space, Candy Factory Coworking has many private offices available for rent.

If you have recently transitioned to a remote position and are in need of a workspace outside of your home, we have many different options for you. The majority of our private offices have never been occupied and we have plenty of availability if you are looking for a workspace that is meticulously and routinely maintained.

If you prefer to not be present for an in-person tour, our Community Manager is happy to provide information and tours via video conference upon request.

As this situation evolves, we may make changes to our policies and procedures and will do our best to keep everyone informed, but we welcome you to reach out to us for clarification at any time.

We will be closely monitoring developments surrounding COVID-19, and will be following the recommendations made by public health officials.

Our thoughts are with the many families and communities affected by this virus, and we send our well wishes to those on the road to recovery.
